Finding Dory - Baby Dory Plush & Tsum Tsum

So I finally saw Finding Dory last night and it was just wonderful <3 Absolutely loved it and desperate to see it again!! Myself and my mum were the only two people in the whole theatre who stayed until the very end of the credits too and I'm so glad we did :D

Anyway, I thought I'd carry on with the Finding Dory posts today and take the time to honor just how adorable baby Dory is by showing you this Disney Store Baby Dory Plush and Japan Disney Store Baby Dory Mini Tsum Tsum.

I believe you can buy the Baby Dory plush in Disney stores worldwide. I know its certainly available in the US and here in the UK. She is so, so soft and snuggly! With some other Dory plush toys I have seen, including the talking Dory I posted about yesterday, they have used a different shimmery material for the yellow parts on Dory's fin and tail but Baby Dory is soft all over. The one thing I'm not crazy about is the blue spots on either side of her, because they are just like stickers and are exactly the sort of thing that comes off really easily. Mine should be ok as she will be mostly displayed but I wouldn't have thought they will last long with children.

The mini Baby Dory Tsum Tsum is an exclusive to the Japan Disney Store I believe, but I was lucky enough to get one via someone who does pick-ups for people. Again, she is nice and soft (though not as soft as the plush) and is the cutest little thing and a great addition to any Finding Dory Mini Tsum Tsum set :)

Disney Store Finding Dory Talking Dory Soft Toy

It's today!!! Finding Dory is in UK cinemas today and I can't wait to go and see it later tonight!! And in honor of this great day, I thought the best thing to show you today would be this gorgeous talking Dory soft toy from the Disney Store :)

I'm afraid I can't show you any packaging as I picked her up second hand online (for a great price I might add!) but I can show you her, including a video to show you some of the things she says.

Dory is super soft and smooth, really lovely to touch. She moves when she talks so you can feel some of the mechanisms inside her on her fins and mouth but her softness everywhere else makes up for it. The yellow material they used on her is also really nice and shimmery. Dory also comes complete with her transfer tag which is made of plastic; and it is near her tagged fin that you press her to get her to talk.

She says a few different phrases from the film and as mentioned before, her fins and mouth move when she does it which is pretty cool. In theory she speaks 7 different phrases and I have heard her say them all, but I couldn't get her to do all of them for the video, she kept repeating some of them. I would say that is the only annoying thing about her. Unlike most talking toys where the phrases are on a loop, she seems to say hers randomly which is annoying because she often repeats one or two over and over again before she'll say one of the others. Aside from this though, she is a really great toy and I would happily have paid full price for her if I hadn't been lucky enough to find her cheaper second hand :)

Now go and enjoy seeing the film today or over the next few days!! I absolutely cannot wait!!!!

Disney Store Finding Dory Deluxe Figurine Playset

Continuing my Finding Dory posts today with a look at the Deluxe Figurine Playset from the Disney Store. It retails here in the UK for £22.95 but I had a discount code so I managed to get mine a little cheaper.

The set comes with nine figurines but some of the figures have more than one character on them, so in terms of characters, you get Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Charlie, Jenny, Fluke, Rudder, Gerald, Hank, Destiny & Bailey.

They were an absolute b***h to get out of the packaging haha! They were really tightly packed into the plastic casing. Some of them were attached with the wire too but not all of them which was a bit baffling as none of them would have come loose as they were so tight in the plastic casing anyway.

Hank is my favourite of the set as I just think he is the most detailed, but he is closely followed by Destiny and Bailey. I also really liked the wrinkles on each of the sea lions backs :) A shout out should go to Nemo too because he looked nice from all angles, whereas some of the others looked a bit suspect from side on etc.

I made mosaics to show you the figures from each side for all of them, except Destiny and Bailey who will have individual photos at the end because the software was for making them into square photos and it therefore cut off too much of the pictures of them and I don't have the patience to fiddle around sorting it out today hehe! But anyway, hope you enjoy them.

I'd definitely recommend getting the set as all the figures are pretty great and detailed and you get a nice selection of the characters for your money. Now obviously you could get a Busy Book that I showed in a post yesterday which comes with figures of all of these characters plus Sea Otter, for a lot cheaper than this figure back; but these figures really are superior (and larger) so if you are looking to get one set of figures as a collector, I'd say these are the ones to get. Also, these deluxe figure packs from the Disney Store get really sought after so if you don't get it now, you'll probably be looking at paying triple the price on Ebay later on ;)

Finding Dory Busy Book

I picked this Finding Dory Busy Book up a few weeks ago now as they had it in a discount store for a really great price in comparison to the prices in most other stores.

For those that don't know, Busy Books are story books that come with a play mat and a set of plastic figures in the back. They have done loads, including most of the more recent Pixar films, and loads of other Disney films.

I wasn't able to take a photo of the play mat as it was too big and I couldn't get up high enough with the camera to fit it in but you can see on the back of the book what it looks like.

The front part of the book is the actual book part and rather than tell a whole story of the film, it usually tells you some little rhyme or something about one of the characters. I haven't actually read it yet because the film is not released here until Friday and whilst I know what the characters are called etc., I know nothing of the story and wan't to keep it that way! All I have seen is the trailer and the clip of Baby Dory, the rest I want to be a surprise and enjoy it as it happens haha! So anyway, you can see a couple of the pages which gives you an idea what the rest are like, and then at the back are compartments with the play mat and figures in.

The figures it comes with are Fluke, Rudder, Gerald, Sea Otter, Hank, Destiny, Bailey, Dory, Charlie, Jenny, Marlin and Nemo. They are all fairly decent figures, not the greatest detailing or paint work in the world but not bad. As I haven't seen the film, I can't really comment as to whether I think there are any characters that I would have liked to have seen in the set that aren't, but for the price (I paid £2.99), you get a good bunch of figures for your money :)

Posh Paws "Finding Dory" Mini Plush - Dory, Nemo, Destiny & Otter

Finding Dory is out in cinemas in the UK on Friday (29th July) so I thought I'd start sharing  some FD things I have picked up lately.

These adorable little plush toys are made by Posh Paws and I think you can find them in various stores here in the UK such as supermarkets (I've seen them in Sainsbury's) and gift stores such as Clinton Cards etc. Posh Paws also make the non-Disney Store Tsum Tsums.

I got this gang from a supermarket here in the UK called Aldi. They were released in Aldi stores yesterday and I don't know how long they will have them for but if you are after them, I'd try and get some ASAP as they are a lot cheaper in there than in other stores I have seen them in. In Aldi they are £4.99 each but in the other stores I have seen them in, they have been retailing for £7.99. As adorable as they are, I have to say I probably wouldn't pay £7.99 for them as they are pretty small, but £4.99 seemed a good price to me. Aldi also have a load of other Finding Dory products in such as plastic drink bottles, a pop-up play tent, activity & colouring books, cushions and more so definitely check them out if you get the chance.

The characters I got are Dory, Nemo, Destiny and Otter. They did have Hank available but I wasn't blown away for him so I didn't get him for now. I may give in and get him if they still have some later in the week but he was made of a different material that I didn't really like as it just made him look a bit cheap to me. These ones however, are gorgeously soft.

Otter is possibly my favourite from the group. He just has a nice face and and he is really soft and cuddly. The fabric labels and paper tags are the same on all the characters so I'll only show them once on Otter in the photos below.

I went through the Nemo's to find one with the most acceptable face but he still looks a little cross eyed :D He is lovely and bright though and I love his little fin <3

With Dory I again had to try and find one with the least wonky eyes and this was the best of the bunch. She is still pretty cute and like Nemo her colours are nice and bright. Apologies for having to have my arm/hand in the photos but I just could not get her to stay upright for pictures!

Destiny is my other favourite of this set as her face is really pretty and there was no worry with regards to wonky eyes with her hehe :) I really like how they did her gills too.

All in all, they are pretty cute little plushies but I'm glad I got them at the price I did as I personally don't think they would have been worth it for £7.99. I may go back and get Hank but we'll see. For now, I am pretty happy with the four I did get :)
